Tea parties are a tradition and a symbol of community that became all the rage within the black community in the 18th century. Ladies love to attend tea parties for a bunch of reasons, like socializing, enjoying a chill and pleasant setting, chatting, munching on light snacks, and maybe even playing a game or two – oh, and let’s not overlook the serious business of sipping tea. For someone like me, it’s a chance to get dressed up and mingle with friends in a social setting.
